Cryptid Day

Cryptid Day is a unique and whimsical celebration within the Church of Gnome, dedicated to honoring the mysterious creatures that have captured human imagination for centuries. Held on October 20th, this holiday commemorates the anniversary of the famous 1967 Patterson–Gimlin film, which purportedly captured footage of Bigfoot, one of the most famous cryptids. This day aligns with the Gnomean Principles of Openness to Mystery, Historical Wisdom, and Universal Unity, encouraging Gnomeans to embrace the unknown, celebrate curiosity, and acknowledge the mysteries that make our world enchanting.
