The Church of Gnome is founded on principles that resonate universally across various religions, cultures, and backgrounds. We recognize and celebrate the diversity of beliefs among our members. Instead, we focus on values like community, environmental stewardship, and personal growth, which are common threads in many spiritual paths. We welcome members from all walks of life, whether they identify with Christianity, paganism, or any other spiritual or philosophical tradition. Do you have physical locations?
Currently, the Church of Gnome does not have physical locations. As we continue to grow, our vision includes facilitating the formation of local congregations or groups. These congregations will serve as a foundation for members to create a network of friends, engage in thought-provoking discussions, connect in person, and collaborate on initiatives to positively impact their local communities. The concept of local congregations is designed to be flexible and inclusive, accommodating various activities such as group meditations, environmental projects, cultural exchanges, and community service. They will be spaces where members can share experiences, explore spiritual and philosophical ideas, and work together towards common goals. We encourage our members to look forward to these opportunities for deeper engagement and community building. Keep an eye on our website and social media for future announcements regarding the development of these local congregations.
Is this a joke?
The Church of Gnome began with the funny idea rooted in my Micronation, 'Kingdom of Gnome.' However, as the concept evolved, I recognized its potential to be much more than just a whimsical notion. The realization that this can be recognized as a 501(c)(3) organizations was a turning point, sparking the idea that this initiative could become a meaningful platform for positive change in the world. What started as a joke soon transformed into a serious endeavor focused on charitable and community-based activities. From helping children and the elderly to supporting environmental causes, the Church of Gnome has developed into a platform for widespread good. Moreover, the Church of Gnome is about creating a welcoming and diverse community. It’s designed to be a unifying space where people, regardless of their background – be it atheistic, Christian, spiritual, or any other – can come together. Our goal is to foster a community that encourages personal growth, care for the earth, and active contribution to our communities. In essence, while the Church of Gnome may have light-hearted origins, it has grown into a sincere and genuine movement aimed at making a tangible difference in the world and building a supportive, inclusive community.
