Hi everyone, I'm Douglas... living in Dallas and working as a Chaplain in hospice/healthcare. I' also a disabled veteran, former chef, and retired Trauma Medic who enjoys camping, astronomy, and leathercraft
I have been a spiritual seeker all my life. I have many tenets of Native American, Shintoism, Buddhism, Irish Catholicism, and a few other "isms" that guide me in life. Being able to travel allowed me to better incorporate the best of these beliefs.
When I saw the Church of Gnome, I immediately related to the premise. I still have my original "Gnomes by Wil Huygen I got in 1977!! Simple in practice, belief, and the spirit of compassion presented here, I could not refuse to be a Gnomean as well!
I hope to meet many of you as we journey together.
