I live in Las Vegas....not a Gnome friendly city.. I became unable to work about a year and a half ago, and learned quickly that society is very uncaring. After examining my situation(our situation, I'm married with 2 dogs), I realized that if one thing went terribly wrong, it would be disastrous for us. I began noticing things differently. The unseen population of the city having nothing always seem to be in groups. Helping each other in whatever way was possible. I began distributing water to those that can't make it to the missions or shelters that hand it out, along with treats for the dogs that always seem to be part of these groups.
I saw the Facebook post for the Church of Gnome a couple weeks ago, and laughed if off as fun, then I began reading the articles and descriptions of the Movement. I grew up on a farm, and spent most of my free time in Nature as a child. As an adult, we forget those thing as the World moves on. This brings it all into perspective, Nature, Kindness, FUN! I will enjoy my journey, learning and teaching as I go.
