Hi, my name is Michael. I introduced myself in the Facebook group but wanted to say hello here as well. I'm a full-time minister, working in a progressive Christian church community in Kansas. One of the things that can be challenging for my work is that sometimes we miss out on the sense of whimsy, exploration, curiosity, and joy that genuine spirituality can provide. We've become very institutional, and while organizations have a purpose, they can sometimes stifle that sense of wonder we all need on our own daily journey.
I love that CoG is inclusive, judgment-free, and welcoming of so many people and ideas. It's kind of a hard time to be in the world right now, and we need positive spaces more than ever. I'm glad to have stumbled upon this community and I am looking forward to participating more.
